Our Wedding
6251 Cecil Green Park Road
Vancouver BC V6T 1Z1
Our evening wedding ceremony and reception will take place at Cecil Green Park House, at UBC. We wanted to get married at UBC because we both attended/are attending school there, and it's where we met. Sarah also wanted to get married near the ocean, and Cecil Green, located on the cliffs of Point Grey, has beautiful views of Howe Sound and across the Straight of Georgia.
UBC - Cecil Green Park House official website
Taken from the official website:
Built in 1912 by architect Samuel Maclure for Edward Davis, a prominent Canadian Pacific Railway lawyer, Cecil Green Park was originally named Kanakla, a West Coast native word meaning 'house on the cliff'.
Successive owners named the house Yorkeen and Langara. It was renamed in honour of Dr. and Mrs. Cecil Green, who bought the house in 1967 and generously donated it to the University of British Columbia.
Please Note: The wedding is in the evening and may get chilly as the ceremony will take place on the North lawn. Please bring a wrap or jacket. Limited metered parking is available right outside Cecil Green. If you don't mind a short walk, there is covered parking available at the Rose Garden Parkade along Chancellor Boulevard, please choose this option if you are available to do so. There is also a drop off location available directly in front of the house.
